I spoke to some coworkers about the scanners that could assist Paging staff to keep our library in order efficiently (as I mentioned in my previous post). Coincidentally, earlier that day, Charlotte had seen an article about a shelf-reading robot invented in Singapore.

Although this is a cool, useful robot, I worry that it might replace human jobs. I know that a person would still have to process the information and actually be the one to physically move the books, but it’s scary.
